The YPG launched its Southern California chapter (USA - So-Cal) in 2009 with our first students awarded in 2010. It started by accident with a fun party! We held our first YPG Fundraiser in July, 2009 where we raised almost $10,000 through silent auction and donations to support our students. We were encouraged and surprised by the level of support we received by people who were passionate about our dreams and wanted to get involved. This led to the launch of our 2nd chapter and catalyzed the expansion of YPG.
